Pre-requisite: Attended the TIQMS Core Tools course, TIQMS AIAG/VDA Process FMEA Course, or equivalent.
In this course we focus on the Reverse Process FMEA (RPFMEA) in line with the AIAG & VDA FMEA Handbook 1st Edition 2019 and the development of a PFMEA in a team environment using the 7-Step Approach.
The scope of this course does not cover development of Design FMEA (DFMEA) and Supplemental FMEA for Monitoring and System Response (FMEA-MSR).
When it’s time for risk assessment, the FMEA (Failure Mode and Effect Analysis) tool is used to identify and reduce the potential risks in design and process. All OEMs are adopting new methods for continuous improvement and trying to improve product quality. Thus, reverse FMEA is a new requirement introduced by many Automotive OEMs. They have added R-FMEA requirement in their CSR and supplier manuals.
The OEMs who have introduced this requirement so far are Groupe Renault, PSA Group, Ford, Stellantis, GM, and many more.
